GENTLE YOGA

with Marcia Uhl

We begin on the floor with subtle movements to warm the body and release the fascia. Then we practice gentle yoga postures to increase flexibility, strength, and balance. We end class with restorative poses that offer passive stretching of the body and deep relaxation.
All are welcome to join this class to renew, relax, and restore.

AYURVEDA DOSHA YOGA

with Christie Rochette

Ayurveda is one of the oldest known medical sciences, which literally translates into “life knowledge.” It helps us to rediscover our own elemental nature and understand how to work with it, rather than against it, in order to achieve homeostasis. This class looks at Yoga through the lens of Ayurveda and incorporates a few different styles of Yoga into one practice to result in balance for all body types. Typically, there is a blend of Pranayama (breath work) while centering and grounding, Yin Yoga or stretching postures to open up, Vinyasa Yoga Flow to create heat in the body, cool down poses, and a Yoga Nidra meditative body scan before Savasana (supine position). This is available for all levels of students from beginner to advanced!

YOGA FUNDAMENTALS

with Pamela Marshall

Yoga FUNdamentals is an all levels, alignment based class with a focus on basic yoga poses through strength based actions. The goal is to promote greater range of motion and body awareness to serve in all that we do off the mat. Class is offered in a monthly series.

CHRIST CENTERED YOGA

This one hour, alignment based yoga class is set to Christian music and combines breath work, movement, and meditation on God's Word. It is a slow, flowing class where poses are held long enough to offer explanation and modification so that all levels of students can enjoy. Each class will include the break down of one or two poses for deeper instruction. You will gain flexibility, release tension, strengthen and tone the whole body, and increase circulation.

POWER YOGA

A power based, dynamic vinyasa practice. The class includes a thorough warm up, heat building sequences, and a full cool down, leaving you feeling both strong and grounded. Enjoy modern music while also incorporating more traditional yoga themes and wisdom. The many benefits to the class include building internal heat, increased stamina, strength, flexibility, and stress reduction. Modifications are offered and all levels are welcome.

Enjoy a heartfelt class that moves the body from the inside out. You
will be guided safely through a sequence to increase joint mobility
and flexibility. Plan for a deep and quiet chance to REST, reduce
chronc pain, and experience a sense of well being and peace. There
will be opportunities as well to focus on areas of specific need. Yoga
plus you. YOUGA.  Allison is looking forward to being with you.

THERAPEUTIC QI GONG

with Marine Mayfield

Qi Gong is a gentle exercise involving whole body movement, mind focus, and deep breathing. It opens the body’s energy pathways, promotes smooth energy flow, and restores organ harmony.  This self-cultivation practice produces powerful healing results. Qi Gong is a moving meditation. It is not only physical fitness, but also of mind, body, emotion, and spirit. If we move too quickly, have too much excitement, and too little patience, it causes us to have a short temper, make frequent mistakes, or suffer from anxiety or depression. We need slow and nurturing practice to help us rejuvenate our energy and balance our emotion.

There are many types of Qi Gong that differ in movements and postures.  However, all forms have similar benefits, some more focused than the others. Qi Gong can target certain illnesses, increase longevity, flexibility, strength and endurance, improve balance, and decrease pain. This 60min class is for all ages and levels of health.

RASAMAYA BARRE

RasamayaBarre is a challenging, empowering, effective, and fun form of exercise that utilizes your own body weight, a ballet barre, free weights, and other props to sculpt, tone, and lengthen your body. The movements in a barre class are drawn from ballet, yoga, Pilates, and orthopedic exercises. The ballet barre is used to help with coordination and balance. It also allows us to position the body in unique ways that create a truly full body workout. Classes are timed to upbeat and fun music.

HATHA YOGA

Focused on asanas, or postures, Hatha yoga is the physical exercise of yoga. This class will begin with Sun Salutations, and offer optional Vinyasas between floor poses to cultivate inner warmth. Breath awareness and proper alignment will be the objective of each pose. Modifications are readily provided for all levels of practitioners. One will leave feeling strong and cleansed.
